The Spiritual Ecology Bookshelf with @earthisohana Prompt 1: What does Spiritual Ecology mean to you? I started Spiritual Ecology: The Cry of the Earth last week so when I was asked the first prompt for this book club, I had to take a few days to really think about it. How does one define Spiritual Ecology in general? I can look up plenty of definitions online but what does this truly mean to me? Sometimes we have these sentiments that resonate with our spirit so much that we just can’t place them into words. So I turned to my dear tree ally, White Pine, for answers. I took a white pine cleansing bath and laid there covered in bits and pieces of white pine needles and twigs. I took a meditative journey and my notes can be found on my website if you’re interested in reading about the journey further. Through this meditation I have been reminded that Spiritual Ecology is the web that holds all living beings on this planet together. We are a reflection of each other. Nature is a reflection of us and we are a reflection of it. To be spiritual means to take care of ourselves, our spirits. If we are nature and nature is us, spiritual Ecology is self care for all. We give and we receive. We receive and we give. Transactional breaths that keep ourselves and our world alive and healthy. Very excited to be able to participate in this book club from afar. I strongly recommend this book for everyone. Join us, let’s read together! Small excerpt from my notebook: This is our dear mother. The birth of us. The birth of all. We are her heart and she is ours. Our vibrations are heartbeats in sync. Spiritual Ecology is us.

Feeling very grateful today for life. I felt good after taking a 3 mile walk in the late afternoon. Yesterday’s warmth was inspiring. For the first time in many years, I’m not in the late winter doldrums. I look forward to springs peak, light rays, bird chirps, and small sprouts. Blessings!
